Image description: A  mostly seated circle of people from different cultural backgrounds & skin tones wearing colorful clothing. They are gathered in a yard with many green trees in the background. The group appears to be  involved in a discussion. One person who is seated in the center seems to be facilitating the conversation. This central figure is wearing a light green cap, a pink short sleeve shirt, black scarf, blue jeans & brown open toed shoes.

Planting the Seed for a Return to the Sacred

The Healing Clinic Collective engages in prayer in multiple ways as a part of our work to Heal with the People.

Traditional prayer ceremonies are a foundational part of how the HCC Core seeks and implements guidance for our ongoing work, as well as a part of our organizing process for community based healing clinics. More recently we have included prayer and ritual offering in our Annual Network Gatherings as a way to harness the power of our amazing Network members towards the Healing of the People and the Earth.

On the broadest level our overarching prayer is for a spiritual intervention on behalf of those who have suffered historically, and who are targets currently, of systemic oppression and harm. The intervention we pray for is that the call for an opportunity to heal will be heard and responded to by those who need it most at this time, so that upon engaging a healing path, our People may find their strength and feel empowered to live their life in a way that honors the gifts they were born with and share them with the world towards creating a loving, life-affirming and regenerative way of life for our future generations.

The HCC considers this an important part of our work. Our prayers are conducted in accordance to old-world instructions of how to exchange our loving energy with the power of the Elements, Ancestors and other Spirit Helpers. Prayers may be up to several hours long and include everything from the most global needs to the specific desires for our work on the ground in the Bay Area.
