This Year's Clinic, Healing Through Our Grief: a Healing Clinic for Movement Organizers, is a space intended to acknowledge and tend to the compounded grief held by our relatives who are dedicated to working towards the world we long for and need. This clinic seeks to support movement organizers and frontline community activists who are exposed to gross injustices, witness atrocities faced by BIPOC & poor communities (including their own), and devote their lives to the service of the children of the future, done all while holding their own pain and losses. We offer this clinic so that they may be gifted with rejuvenation, healing and tools for ongoing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.
We feel called to hold and tend to our grief in a collective way because we resonate with the pain we each hold individually and know we were not meant to hold these burdens alone. We can see the exhaustion and burnout in our social justice spaces and feel a deep calling to rest and renew our hearts and spirits through the many healing modalities our ancestors have passed down to us. The resounding message we are receiving is that we grieve because we love. Love is our ultimate healer, so our prayer for this clinic is to heal through our grief. We hope that you can support us in holding our prayer.
This online clinic will incorporate artwork that holds our visions for the future of healing, grief and liberation created by artists brought together by Creative Wildfire.
This year's clinic is organized by a set of relationships woven together including sponsorships from Movement Generation (MG), Creative Wildfire (CW), and Richmond Our Power Campaign (ROPC). We will be accepting additional sponsorships for the clinic.

🖤 the organizing committee 🖤
Big GRATITUDE to this years Organizing Committee!! Librada Estrada (top left) is literally the master mind of all things technical! Jol LM (top right) is a resident grief doula and also one of the amazing practitioners for this years clinic! Katherin Canton (middle left) who jumped in to support the clinic just when we needed them to! Carla M. Pérez (middle right/HCC's founder) who planted this seed in all of us & RaheNi Gonzalez (bottom/ HCC Core member) who will also be facilitating the opening & closing ceremony this year!
We would also like to acknowledge the people who began organizing for an in-person clinic this year. While the in-person clinic will not take place, those Organizing Committee members held the vision and prayer of Healing Through our Grief for a couple of months with us, and also helped to produce messaging, did outreach, etc. We are grateful for their energy and the time they spent with us holding this prayer!
They are: Abi Huff (former HCC staff), Sammie Ablaza Wills, D Hirokane, Devin Ariel, Nico Ghanbarzadeh, and Katt Ramos. Katt is also continuing to support the Online Clinic Organizing Team through the date of the Online Clinic!
