CCHRP was a beautiful collaboration between the Healing Clinic Collective, Ancestral Apothecary School, and local community herbalists.
We are proud to have collaborated with Ancestral Apothecary School (AAS) to coordinate medicine-making, donations and distribution of a variety of herbal medicines including herbal blends & tinctures, flower essences + waters and face masks to vulnerable communities in the Bay Area. We worked to fill in the large gaps left by city and county agencies to ensure that poor and houseless community members had access to the supplies and medicine they needed to protect themselves from COVID-19 and heavy smoke due to the California fires .
From July 2020 through December 2022, CCHRP dispersed nearly 800 bottles of herbal remedies (plus a smaller number of salves and sprays) and hundreds of N95 masks to unhoused and low- or no-wage Bay Area residents through the following social justice organizations and projects, as well as two native tribes:
