We know that our safety, health and well-being are greatly affected by the systems of governance and economy in which we live. While we continue to heal ourselves individually and collectively from the effects these systems have on us, we can also turn to the Just Transition framework as a strategic guide that reflects many ancestral concepts of wellbeing and can helps us manifest a transition from a globalized extractive, industrial economy to a new set of linked, local, regenerative and participatory economies that prioritize care and well-being for all.
After centuries of ancestral trauma and degradation of the Mother Earth, the planet can no longer sustain this type of industrial economy without massive ecological, economic and spiritual disruption. "Transition is inevitable. Justice is not." A just transition is the process of getting from where we are to where we need to be by transforming the systems of economy, governance and social organization - and HEALING is a critical part of this process!

UPDATE: Understanding & Honoring Gender Identity
A compassionate learning & community building space for the HCC Network and our Healing Justice allies
The Healing Clinic Collective and our friends learned so much at our first workshop on understanding gender identity. As we engage our learning process, we are gaining more clarity on how gender plays a role in the way we organize and offer services to our Beloved Community. We talked about our experiences, practices for creating dignified & safe treatments spaces, and language that honors every person's chosen identity and self expression.
We learned some helpful lessons about how to have this conversation with out Network, and will be be applying those lessons in a second workshop on Understanding Gender Identity in 2020. Stay tuned for that announcement!
