PRAYERSThe Healing Clinic Collective engages in prayer in multiple ways as a part of our work to Heal with the People.

Traditional prayer ceremonies are a foundational part of how the HCC Core seeks and implements guidance for our ongoing work, as well as a part of our organizing process for community based healing clinics. The HCC considers this an important part of our work. Our prayers are conducted in accordance to old-world instructions of how to exchange our loving energy with the power of the Elements, Ancestors and other Spirit Helpers. Prayers may be up to several hours long and include everything from the most dire global needs to specific desires for our work on the ground in the Bay Area.
WELLNESS PRACTITIONER REFERRALSThe HCC has a Network of over 130 healers and wellness practitioners. One of our goals is to connect people in need of holistic healing to natural & traditional healers and wellness practitioners for ongoing care.

If you or someone you know is in need of healing care but you are not sure what healing modality(ies) would best address your/their condition OR if you are looking for a healing modality that is not included in the HCC Practitioner Directory,
please contact us for a referral consultation.
HEALING
CLINIC ORGANIZING SUPPORT
The Healing Clinic Collective wishes to serve as a model for others who seek healing with their communities and want to do so within a framework that is both political and sacred.

We provide consultation to individuals, organizations and community-based groups who want to organize a healing clinic for their community. This may be for a school community, church community, neighborhood residents, or an organizational membership.

* Consulting is always offered on a sliding scale basis (including for free) and depends on the extent of consultation that is desired and the budget of the group seeking support.
Organizing community-based Healing Clinics is the original and flagship work of the HCC. Our Healing Clinics are a very special space organized in partnership with community-based organizations in the Bay Area. Always opening and closing with prayer, our Healing Clinics provide free natural and traditional healing treatment sessions without requiring any form of ID for people from traumatized populations in the Bay Area.

People who attend our Healing Clinics are invited to sign up for 1-2 healing sessions and build relationships with the practitioners they work with. Participants are also offered self-help information, the opportunity to attend educational workshops, and encouraged to develop their own knowledge base around a healing modality of their liking via discounted or free training opportunities offered by our Network members. A closing prayer is offered for the integration of all of the healing energy that was offered that day, both for attendees of the Clinic as well as for our global relatives in need.

What We Do

Healing Clinics

The HCC is a small, but mighty Sacred & Political organizing project for generational healing. We operate with a modest budget and a total of 40 hrs of staff time per week, an active Core (Steering Committee), gifts of time, energy, materials, & relationships from active Network members, and huge amounts of blessings and support from our Ancestors who passed us the torch to continue this sacred work.

In these times when “online rapid responding” to social and political events is prominent among our communities, the HCC finds very limited capacity for this. We apply the capacity that we do have to the meaningful programming that has uplifted and supported our communities, such as healing clinics, maintaining a Network of ancestral and natural healers, doing herbal rapid crisis-response, offering healing-centered political education for our Practitioners, communities, and allied organizations, etc.

Please know we always hold the current social/spiritual/political moment in our vision & prayers. We hope you can receive what we offer with all the Love it carries from the Heart of the HCC ❤

Check out the HCC's interview with our friends at Las Brujas Radio!

Carla Perez (HCC) and Sharena Thomas (HCC & People's Community Medics) got to sit down with the amazing women of Las Brujas Radio, the "DIY bruja femme radio talk show" hosted here in the Bay by Queens D.Light, Imani Atlantic, and DJ Namaste Shawty. The Radio show is dedicated to art, ritual, uplifting one another in community, and decolonizing and reclaiming the ways we heal. LBR interviewed Carla and Sharena as they prepped for the 2018 Fall Healing Clinic. They talked everything from personal journeys with ancestral medicine, to the story of People's Community Medics, to self care, and to the power of collective earth based healing practices in our particular moment in history. It's an inspiring listen that will have you feeling moved, snapping your fingers yes, and laughing along. Thank you Las Brujas!

We find ourselves in an unprecedented moment in which we are faced with a global pandemic, climate destabilization, uprisings and rebellions across the country & globe calling for the just treatment of our whole Black, Indigenous, & communities of Color.

We offer our love & prayers to our AAPI
relatives & community who are grieving the loss of  extended family, targeted out of toxic hate that this system has been injecting into the minds of the people for centuries.

The HCC stands in solidarity with our Beloved AAPI Communities, their Leaders & Alliances, working hard to bring about the changes needed for a healed and just future.

To ALL of our BIPOC communities and Comrades doing the work of healing and repair - we send prayers for guidance, love and protection to ALL as we learn to stretch our adaptability, deepen our connection and
responsibility to each other, the earth, and the seven
generations to come.

Historically, Indigenous people like the Karuk, Yurok, and Hupa understood the role of fire in the bioregion of what we now call Northern California. They have acted accordingly by tending the forest, thinning the brush, and burning fires in a regenerative way, enriching soil and bringing dormant seeds to life. Read More...
